Upon installing Teams Manager, you'll discover that the corresponding Copilot Agent automatically gets added to your tenant.
Let's explore the Agent's capabilities and understand how to disable it if such a need arises.
π€ What are the Agent's Capabilities?
As of now, the Agent's capabilities are relatively limited. You can ask it to find specific Teams, identify frequent Collaborators, or simply get informed on Microsoft services. However, in the future, we're planning to expand its capabilities to encompass more useful tasks.
The Teams Manager Agent can be found in your Copilot Side Panel under the Agents tab.
β How Do I Disable the Agent?
Those of you who work in highly secure industries like Defence or Finance might want to avoid Conversational/Group Indexing to maximize privacy. Alternatively, you might simply want to clean up your Agent List. Either way, the process of removing the Agent from your tenant is incredibly simple.
Here's how it's done:
Navigate to admin.cloud.microsoft.
βSelect Copilot > Agents in the Admin Center side panel.
βType Teams Manager into the search bar.
βClick on the Teams Manager Agent.
βClick on Block in the Agent Profile.
βTick off the Block checkbox and click Save to finalize your decision.
The Agent Profile will inform you that the Agent has been successfully blocked and removed from your Copilot Environment.
