Policy Enforcer allows you to see the state of your entire governance setup from a single screen, and to jump straight to any Enforcement or Space without hunting through tabs.

The app has three tabs, Overview, Enforcements, and Violations, plus Settings and a search box that reaches everything.

Overview is the first thing you see, and it answers the only question that really matters: is any of this working?

You get two sets of figures. Enforced policies shows your total number of Enforcements and how many are Active versus Off. Violations breaks down what has actually happened, split into Resolved automatically, Resolved manually, Dismissed, and Pending.

That split is the useful part. A healthy setup shows most violations resolving automatically with a small manual tail. A large Pending figure means your reviewers are falling behind, and a large Dismissed figure is worth a conversation about whether the Policy itself is right.

You can look at Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days, and the Violations over time chart shows the same period as a trend.

Before you've enforced anything, Overview shows Enforce your first policy with a shortcut straight to setting one up. Once enforcement is running but nothing has gone wrong yet, it tells you your policies are being watched rather than leaving you staring at empty charts.

A violation count that suddenly drops to zero is worth investigating rather than celebrating. If the permissions Policy Enforcer relies on lapse, detection pauses and the app carries on looking entirely normal, so a flatlining trend is your cue to check Settings.

A steady trickle of naming violations that stops overnight usually means a lapsed permission rather than a sudden outbreak of good behaviour.

Spotlight is the fastest way around the app, and it opens from anywhere.

Start typing and results arrive grouped into Recent, Pages, Enforcements, and Spaces, so you can tell what you're looking at without reading closely.

Pages takes you to Overview, Enforcements, Violations, or Settings. Enforcements finds an Enforcement by its Policy name. Spaces finds a governed Space by name and offers Show violations, which drops you into the Violations list already filtered to it.

That last one saves the most time. Rather than opening Violations and scrolling, you can go from a Space name straight to everything Policy Enforcer has recorded about it.

Settings is admin-only, and it's where the two things that keep Policy Enforcer running actually live.

Connected Teams Manager instance confirms which Teams Manager deployment you're reading from, and whether that connection is currently healthy.

Policy Enforcer permissions lists exactly what the app has been granted, in plain terms rather than as raw scope names:

Each shows as Granted, Action needed, or Not granted, with Re-grant permissions available whenever something needs restoring.

Service account shows which account Policy Enforcer signs in as to read from Teams Manager and act on your Spaces. Test connection confirms it's still working, and Change account swaps it.

This is the screen to check first whenever Policy Enforcer stops reporting anything. If permissions have been revoked, you'll see a message saying detection and resolution are paused until an admin re-grants, which is the clearest signal you'll get that nothing is being watched.

The service account can't authenticate while permissions are revoked. The two are linked, so after re-granting permissions, run Test connection rather than assuming everything came back on its own.

Between the three, you've got everything covered. Overview for whether governance is holding up, Spotlight for getting somewhere quickly, and Settings for the two connections that everything else depends on.
